Duckett Micro Magic Pro

Featured Replies

I am looking to get a micro magic pro for texas rigs, lighter spinnerbaits, and squarebill crankbaits. Are these good rods? and would a 7'0 Medium Fast Action be good for what i am using it for?

Also, since this rod is so sensitive is there a chance it would break on a larger fish or a hard hookset?

I have a 7mh Micro Magic Pro. I like if a lot. The 7M would work for you or you could jump up to the MH and be OK as well. Nice rods.

Also, since this rod is so sensitive is there a chance it would break on a larger fish or a hard hookset?

Sensitivity doesn't mean the rod is weaker, it means it is made from a better blank. It shouldn't be any weaker than whatever you have now, the exception being an Ugly Stik.

Higher quality rods tend to be more brittle and break more often. However these breaks are almost always operator error. Normal use shouldn't break them.i can't really comment on that particular rod though.

Awesome rods, I've got three and the 7' mh is perfect for Crankin, or spinner baits.....
