Maiden Voyage

Featured Replies

Today I took my new canoe out on its maiden voyage. It's a 17' Clearwater Designs Muskoka. Very stable and unbelievably easy to paddle. Will eventually add a trolling motor bug for now it's just fine.

Good deal - glad it is working well.

I was in my war canoe (aka - bass assault craft) today as well...a good way to fish my "small water"...

Congrats! Former canoer myself, but now I paddle

a hybrid kayak - the Native Ultimate. Part yak, part

canoe. Best of both worlds, IMO.

Maiden voyages are indeed fun. Trolling motor will

be good. Had a 50 lb thrust for my canoe, use a 30

for now on my yak, but wish I could afford to put a

40, 45, or 50 on it.

Good luck outfitting it for fishing!

Had it out on a 100 acre non-gas motor lake. Had a Sportspal years ago, this one is easier to paddle and more maneuverable than the Sportspal.

Congrats ~

I like the motor mod myself.
