Best epoxy for jig weedguards?

Featured Replies

I recently purchased a wholesale tackle company and I am trying to find out what I can improve on.  One thing I was curious of was what you guys think the best epoxy is for attaching the weedguard to the jig heads. I currently use Loctite epoxy and am using the 60 minute type because the fast set type sets up too quick when I am making a lot of jigs at one time. If you have something you like better please by all means tell me so.  My only requirement is that it HAS to dry clear. Thanks for any info.

i'd use devcon 2-ton. 20 min working time and dries clear.

DevCon is the BEST.  Might have to go to Lowes to get it now,  What is the best place to get it now??

Wal-Mart no longer has it where Im at in central texas.  I use it to clear coat with too.  Tuff stuff.  If clear coating use the stuff that doesn set up fast and turn it if you can like flex coat.

Needs to be a water proof epoxy also and devcon 2ton will meet both needs (clear and water proof).

Now 2ton only has a working time of approx 8 min once mixed, that 20min business is bs.

Actually, I hear Loctite bought Devcon. That's why you only see Loctite in Wally World now.  If you're in Texas and want Devcon, check out texaswoodcarvers.com
