Ram Mount For Ipad

Featured Replies

Im wanting to start using my ipad with navionics app for mapping in my boat....do any of yall use ipad and if so what kind of ram mount do yall have to mount the ipad in the boat?

My experience with iPad in open sunlight was never good. Too much concentration needed to see what's on the screen.

But that said, the best iPad mounts come from Pro-Clip.

Look @ Rammount's X-grip. I have one for my iPhone 6 on my motorcycle & can vouch for it @ speed.

I got one for my Mini IPad and have never used it. It's just sitting in the garage. Also have one for Android tablets right beside it. Both brand new.

Before you buy a mount, make sure you can see the screen in the day light. I've got an iPad and can't use it outdoors in the light. You also have to mount it close to a place you can plug in the USB power cord.

Do you set the auto lock so your screen stays on all the time or do you have it go dark if you haven't touched the screen for a while?
