Baitcaster Cast Control Knob/spool Tension Knob

Featured Replies

I recently have received a 153A - Triforce-Z, but the only problem is the Spool Tension Knob is missing. I have searched online and have found the reel but not just the Knob. Is the Spool Tension Knob just a regular cap and can I go to a hardware store or eBay and buy a cap that fits or do I need washers and a special cap made specifically for the reel. I have looked at my other baitcaster which are really junk, but the cap doesnt fit. If you type in Spool Tension Knob on eBay so many items come up but I am worried that they won't fit.

PLEASE HELP!!

Contact the company and explain your situation. They may just send you the knob.

I did this with a brand new quantum code red baitcaster. Parts were missing. They had a complete kit of the assembly. I would think most manufacturers do this. Someone took the parts from it. But I fixed it.

Write to a pro reel service station-they may know what other mode's knob will fit and sell you the parts.  Mike's Reel Repair has schematics for a bunch of Triforces.  He may be able to help.

This is a Japnese-marketed reel, right? Not usually sold in US?   Ebay?  If Ebay, one thing you can do is mention to the seller that they will be getting a negative review from you if you cannot get the parts to complete the sale satisfactorily.  Ebay sellers will do almost anything to keep their seller ratings high.
