I am definitly getting a new frog rod. I have been looking at a Dobyns 736c, and a Powell Max 3D 736. Both have good reviews, but I would like to hear from the people on here who have used these rods. Thanks for the help.

My thick cover frogging rod is the Dobyns 736. I personally enjoy this rod for this application. In the thick cover, this rod posseses some serious back bone. The rod I find is pretty light for a H rod, which helps, especially if you throw a HB all day like I have been known to do.

I use a Lews Magnum One for heavy cover. I also just bought a Dobyns 734 for throwing toads. 

I have the 736 max 3d. Its extremely balanced and light weight which like stated above is a huge plus with a heavy cover rod. I like it a lot when fishing in thick stuff. It has a ton of backbone. I'm sure you'll love either as both are proven to be good rods.

One of the Toad Manufacturer's I've grown to know recommended the 736 along with two others. I'm sure that's one heck of a rod. Since I have the Lews Magnum One rod I opted for a little lighter rod with some tip.
