Went out on a small lake this past weekend.  Bite was slow.  After 12 hours of fishing I only boated 7 bass.  I caught them all on a jig and craw.  The bass seemed to be in shallow areas that had easy access to deep water.

 

This little guy followed me around for a few hours.  Every time I moved to a new spot, it followed me.  When it figured out I didn't have anything to feed it, it climbed out on a point and forgot about me.

Not a bad visitor. Sure beats gators or angry beavers!

Yep...that's about the extent of the type of conversations I want when I'm fishing.  He looks like the perfect buddy to me.
