G Loomis Gl2 Worth It On Clearance?

Featured Replies

Dsg has gl2 rods at 119.97 right now. I've read a lot about these and everyone seems to say they are not $200 rods. Are they a good rod at $119 though? They seem like they feel good, but am I better off with my duckett ghost? I was looking specifically at 803 jig/worm rod for precisely those applications.

That's a fair price for it.. I use a couple myself. I also use GLX & St. Croix. @ $200 I would pass.

Where did you find it for $119?

Just so you know though they arent light sticks.

meh... Maybe for the $90 I've heard some talk about, but definitely not $120. You can get a lot more rod for less than that. They're heavy, but well balanced, they have low end Fuji guides, but the reel seats and handles are nice. They're okay on sensitivity, but nothing special, although the power is there, and they're magenta. I can't believe people were paying $200+ for those just because they're G Loomis.

That a fair price for it. I was happy with the one I used to own.

A toad of a Bass. Neptune blue, right? Those are strong & well made rods. Was that a shad rap fish?

Yup, Neptune blue CR724GL2 ( my biggest Merlot red is an 11 lber  :eyebrows:  ) combined with a green Curado 200B ( pretty combination of colors ) and nope, it wasn´t a Shad Rap fish, it was a  ...... Senko fish ! :Idontknow:   I really seldomly fish with senkos, I don´t like them, but I can´t deny they really catch fish.
