Been using the standard non skirted swing jigs, and have been mostly satisfied...I still get hung up occasionally in brush and stuff. Thinking sometimes it has to do with the bigger jig head shaped more wide than long. Aside from the standard texas rig/bullet weight, anyone make a bullet swing jig? 

Prefer the bullet weights on lizards and worms, regular swing jigs on craw/creature baits.  Some might say it's redundant to standard rig...

just wondering.

It wouldn't be too hard to make your own, either using thin wire or heavier fishing line, even small swivels if you wanted.   I make my own jika rigs out of 40 or 60 lb fluorocarbon, so that I can control the distance between the split rings/ bait and the weight.  I like a little more distance between the weight and the bait than is available commercially.

 

Another option would be a Florida Rig.   Gambler makes them and they are located somewhere in Florida.  They make both screw in styles and "goop"weights.   Really it is just another way to peg a sinker.  The screw in weights are my preferred approach for dropping 10" worms down through the branches of trees.  That isn't a situation where you want the sinker to separate any distance from the worm.

Seemed to me to be a very minor difference, but I've found that the closer the two 'loops' on the weight are to 90 degrees, or just under, the less it will hang up.  I find that Biffle Hardheads come through better than any other I've tried; and they have big fat head.  I've tried others that spread the loops closer to 135 degrees or more, and those tend to get stuck a lot more.
