Has anyone used U-40 Dura Gloss LS Supreme epoxy for lure topcoat? How does it compare to Flex Coat Ultra V in terms of durability, yellowing and chip resistance?  I read the product description and it says it's non yellowing but some of my lures that I did with Flex Coat Ultra V (which is also "non yellowing") are yellowing slightly. That may have been due to unequal measuring or mixing on my part so I can't blame it on the product, but if the epoxy is going to yellow if I don't measure and/or mix it perfectly no matter which epoxy I use than I may as well use a less expensive epoxy.

i think i've heard of U-40, but thats about it. i've never used it and i don't remember any testimonials for it.

I've not heard any builders talking about that one.   I've looked at the product and may give it try down the road.   

I think I'll give it a try. The worst that can happen is that I'll end up using it for sealer.

I haven't used the stuff but in rod building a lot of people prefer U-40 over flexcoat so I say go for it.
