Sunday 9/27/15, 7:00 - 11:00, MM39 Alligator Alley, North Side, water light stain, mostly cloudy, wind light.

Went out early with Steve Johnson of Miami.  For several months the bite in the glades has been tough.  If I was catching the fish were on the small side.  This trip we caught 10 between us, and the catch was bigger.  I hope this pattern continues.

I started with top water throwing a hollow body, chug bug, and swim bait.  Even back in the pads there wasn't so much as a sniff.  Started throwing plastics and once we slowed to a crawl the bite started.  Big fish was over 3.5 pounds, and a bunch were over 2 pounds.  A lot better then recent trips to the same area.  Steve caught another monster mudfish close to 10 pounds.  Another fun day in the heart of the glades.

Its tough everywhere right now....

Glad to see this report.  My last trip in the Glades didn't go so well.
