My First Re-paint

Featured Replies

In order to cope with not being able to bass fish, I've been doing a lot of reading on this site, I recently ventured into a section I did not previously visit: tackle making. And I was amazed at the work all you do, I decided it was time for me to try... now its no work of beauty but coming from someone like me who has no artistic skills i'm pretty satisfied and maybe with practice I may improve, So thanks to all of you for getting me started!

Hey, everybody has to start somewhere. Nothing wrong with that. At least you are giving it a shot. How did you do it? with a brush?

yeah, i havent had a chance to go to a craft store so i had to use what i had around the house, which happened to be really old acrylic paints and cheapo tattered brushes. The thin 'detailing' was done with a tooth pick

Custom job on a good Frenzy body! nuttin wrong with that

Not bad at all for your first attempt! Here's a little tip that might work. Try making a stencil for your craw's. I use one (business card with a big 'C' cut on one side of it) with my airbrush but I can't see why it wouldn't work with brushes. Just hold it where you want it and kinda trace with your brush.
