Griffon knock-offs

Featured Replies

Painted up some griffon knock-offs and a couple deep divers.  They're all either transparent or semi-transparent, but you can't tell about some of them from the pics.  They still need topcoat.

Let me know what you think.

The rest.  The top pic shows the crackle on some the shallow cranks.

I think they are drop dead beautiful.

Outstanding work.  :)

FW, those look incredible. The crackle effect looks great going down the backs. (Also, I like the cat eyes, haven't seen many people with them on their baits)

Chevy, I'm pretty sure they come blank and unpainted. That's how predatorbassbaits sells them.

you really should get an airbrush if you haven't already.

Thanks guys.

Chevy, I got these from http://stores.crankbaitcomponents.com/StoreFront.bok.  They're cheap, but the quality is not the greatest.  There are marks on the lures from the glue or solvent used to assemble the lures, and the lures are not watertight.  A coat of epoxy over the entire lure (bill included) should solve that problem, but some polishing may be necessary to remove the solvent marks.

Dave, I don't have an airbrush yet but I hope to get one soon.

Looking good FishWhittler! I like that body style.
