I went to using a better quality spinning reels decades ago. I been using the FIN-NOR AHAB LITE, OKUMA EPIXOR and the OKUMA METALOID. I Found these reels are built to last. The only model that's still available today is the OKUMA epixor. What hurts a reel manufacturer is when they put out a quality product we don't buy it over and over. The sales go down there goes the model. Too bad the fin nor ahab is a good quality reel. The OKUMA metaloid is another good quality reel. I guess good quality reels come and go.

What is the best spinning reel for under $100? I'm gonna be using it for all plastic baits. Mostly worms.

Take a look at the Pflueger line of spinning reels, they are very smooth and offer a of lot of reel for the money.   Models that I would recommend are the President, President Limited and the MGX.
