Swamp Donkey

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I saw that Tackle Warehouse has the Reaction Innovations Swamp Donkeys in stock today, and I previously heard many good things about it. From your experience, do you think the Swamp Donkey is as good as everyone makes it to be?

I have around 10 of the original donkeys. Like them a lot. Very good hookup ratio for me. Haven't tried the new version so cant compare.

I ordered a couple of these new ones based on their history. I know some people griped when the new Vixens were released because the paint flaked very easily. We shall see.

I have a couple of the originals.  I always thought they were among the easiest frogs to walk.

Narrow body frog that has a flatter position on the water than other hollow bodied frogs, in my opinion it has a better hookup ratio when compared to most other frogs, once discountinue I was told that the original Japanese designer, Hideki Maeda, that worked for Reaction Innovations released it under the Teckel brand, as the Whacker frog.

Here is the bladed version of the Whacker Frog/Swamp Donkey, called the Honker!

Yeah I have the Teckel Whacker frog and it is the same. Very easy to skip and walk as well.
