Bleeding Gizzard Rogue

Featured Replies

This is a Christmas gift for my dad......wanted a greenish gizzard pattern with some red accents and some flash.

Had a hard time getting a good photo (sorry for the busy background). Can't really see the shine of the metallic scaling.

Thanks Z,

No foiling.  I sprayed a silver metallic base over the back, and then my green mixture candy (transparent) over the metallic.  Kind of gives that impression....definitely not as much "chrome" as real foil, though.

Cool! I have not used any metallics, yet. I just ordered some though. Hope mine can look like that.

Looks good man! I have a haul of new stuff ill be posting later!

Bring it on Toledo! LOL

I have a dozen that needs final coat, but cant break away from painting just yet to do them.

Looks good Stringjam! I thought you had foiled it when I first looked at the picture.

Post them up Toledo, I enjoy seeing some of the talent of this section of the forum. ;)

Nice job!

Looks good string! One question though, why go with those eyes over painted?

It's what he wanted.

I don't really like protruding eyes.  I'm a big fan of the 3D eyes, but only if I can mount them at least a little inset.  I know some guys use a grinding cylinder to create such an imprint, but the plastic on some of the baits is awfully thin - I'm not sure you could pull that off without going through on a Rogue.

That may be your best work yet, great looking bait.

Good looking pattern, Jon.  Your Dad should be very happy with that one.  I just wish my kids painted baits as well as you do.
