Right now I'm using .040 stainless wire.....although I think I'm going to find some finer diameter wire for the smaller cranks.  The .040 is just a little much. 

I tried the .40 wire but it spreads the split rings to wide for my like in makes a bad situation at the line tie.

Great work! The colors used on the gizzard shad would kill the smallies on the Columbia River.

I can pick a favorite, the top one, but only because I tend to like that type of color for my cranks.  As far as craftmanship and paint finish, they both definitely look top notch.  Awesome work Stringjam.
