Looking for some fairly nice baitcasters for pretty cheap. Mainly plan to use it for bass and maybe some Trout or slot sized reds. Any specific reels in mind? Definitely under the $100 range. A $60 one is ideal. Thanks for your help.

Diawa luguna at cabelas website for 35.00 i believe. I have one,and its a fairly decent reel for the money?

Can also look into the H20 line at Academy.  Still have one of their reels that ran about $80.  Light, smooth, and in your price range.  Better yet, if it gives you problems, just take it back to Academy since it's their house brand.

Don't know anything about slot size reds.  From that I assume you are talking about saltwater trout?  Otherwise I wouldn't fish for trout with a casting reel.  Trout around here require small lures.  I'd prefer a flyrod.

Besides the reels already mentioned, I would look at the Pinnacle line.  http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/review-pinnacle-producer.html

Love my Primmus.  Keep an eye open in the classifieds.  Definitely can get a good used reel from them.  $85 for a like new standard Tatula.  Also closeouts often offer a great bargain.  Got my $200 Curado 51E for less than $100 on closeout.  A steal.  :teeth:

Lews Speed Spool can be had on eBay for $80. Best buy in a bait casting reel IMO. I have one and love it.

I bought a lews tournament a couple years ago for$150.  One of the best reels I have.  I like it as much as the tournament pro but its about an ounce heavier. You should be able to find one on clearance cause I dont think they make them anymore.

The Tourny and the Pro are like the same reel to me and I just ended up buying more tournys then pros. I also like the shiny finish to the tournys.

The Abu Garcia Silver Max is a lot of reel for $60. I have seen it cheaper, though. I have two, and they handle anything from 12lb fluorocarbon to 65lb braid.

Pflueger Supreme is a great reel. You can find them on ebay for $80.00 sometimes. Take a look when you get a chance.

Abu Silver Max I believe retails for $69.99. They aren't great, but for the price they work well and get the job done.

I would recommend a daiwa tatula. Strong drag, buttery smooth, long handle for more winding leverage, magforce z (very forgiving and long casting brake system) and plenty of line capacity for those hard pulling reds. I have used one of mine fishing for reds and it performs flawlessly.

Ambassadeur 5600C would be ideal. They can be modified to your heart's content!

Cabelas has the Silver max combo for 59.99 right now. Shame I just blew all my points on Flapping Hogs for next year.

Bass pro shops pro qualifier can't be beat in my opinion.

For baits 0.31oz - 0.62oz I use my PQ's b 4 my reals that cost 2-3x as much & they do as good or better at the task at hand.
