I'm working on some baitfish patterns. This is my attempt at bluegill, but I can't decide if I should add a blurred sharpie gill like in the second pic. What do you think?

Looks good to me! If you wanna see what it would look like use some plastic wrap. Put your gill on there and then lay it on the bait. Just a thought.

Nice work! Definitely doesn't "Need" anything, but if you really want to try it, I like zbass's idea about plastic wrap.

Leave it be and fish the crap out of it.   Any more detail on that bait and it will start to like something Barry painted ;D
