Salty, fluke type baits?

Featured Replies

I throw a lot of flukes for smallies and the other day ( old age is taking its toll ) I remember a advertisment for " Salty Flukes ". I just cannot for the life of me remember where. I like the idea of a little more weight that some salt would add. Have any of you seen this add? If so, what company is making them?

I'm pretty sure Zoom makes "salty flukes". A partner of mine showed me how he texas rigs them with 1/8 oz bullet weights when the bite is off and he cleans house with it, but it's not the norm.

Prog

Shubert & Laketown makes the best salt fluke called a Strick 9. Pickup a dvd by Kim Stricker he designed the bait.

Zoom calls them Salty Super Flukes.

Mister twister makes a bait called "Exude"  it's not so salty, but it is heavier and so casts very well.  The action is excellent.  their claim to fame is that when wet they develop a slimy feel,  that's supposed to feel natural to the fish.

Down here in SE forida they are popular with the snook, and trout guys.  But I have caught bass on em.
