My and most standard rules is to go big or stay home. Min Kota has had that ramp up for years. That new prop with the wings is just junk in weeds. About 10 minutes with a grinder fixed that. Everybody I know removes those wings. Garnet

They were good motors. If you start to have electronic problems change the sensor that controls the beeper it's the cheapest first. The trim has relay's, under the hood you will see 2 square boxes maybe 3/4" square if you trim quits switch the boxes around they both need to be in. And Ford and Chrylser sale the same relay cheap. If I was to do it I'd take the 10" off the top. The threads are on the other end. Buddy removed motor and wires complete then shorten the threaded end and re did the threads. Cutting the shaft was easy chop saw. Garnet
