  3. I am looking at buying my very first Skeeter. It is a 2004 SX 190 with a 2 stoke Yamaha VMax engine. boat has only 40 hours on it it and in great shape. What are your opinions of Skeeter boats in particular of the SX 190? The guy wants 12,800 for it. What do you all think? I need your help!!
  4. They are single consoles. Although I wouldn't mind having a dual because I have two kids. Do you think the 285 would be a good buy if I were to get it bought for $11,500?
  5. Ok, last question. Which would you buy, 2006 Stratos 275 ProXL with 150 Yamaha VMAX for $13,900 OR 2005 Stratos 285 ProXL with a 150 Yamaha VMAX for $12,500
  6. It is a 2000 Evinrude and it does have the FICHT motor not the E-Tec.. I have been seing some good deals on the Stratos boats. I know there not the Quality of a Ranger, Champion, Skeeter, etc but they seem like a good value for the money. Buddy of mine owned a Stratos and loves it.
  7. I am looking to buy a boat. I am looking at a 2000 Ranger R83 with a 175 Evinrude E-Tech or a 2005 Stratos 285XL Pro with a 150 Vmax. The Ranger has only 80 hours on it and the Stratos has low hours too. Ranger price is 11,750 and the Stratos is $12,500 What would you buy?
  8. Johnson County Christian Bassmasters are looking for new members for the 2009 season. Entry fee's are $15 per person and big bass of $5. 12 tournaments. 9. I had an opportunity to fish the BASS Southern Open last weekend as a Co-Angler. There was an amazing 197 entries. Even a couple FLW guys fished the open. I think overall BASS put on a good event and really exceeded my expectations. I had a great time and I suggest any of you that have never participated before to give it a shot. It was well worth it!
  10. I have been in aviation now for nearly 15 years. I have done many aspects of it and I am now ready to move on. I, like the rest of you have had a desired interest in working in the fishing industry. I live in Central Indiana so opportunities here are slim to none. I have been following Pure Fishing websites and monitoring open positions. Seems like these types of careers are few and far between. Do you all have any suggestions on what type of fishing industry careers are out there and what companies can you work for? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
  11. Simple question. If you were in Florida fishing for bedding bass would you use a spinning reel with 12" flouro or would you go with a baitcaster? What applications would you use a spinning reel?
  12. It's alot cheaper than owning one! No insurance, no gas, no storage, no up keep. That is whay i am looking to buy!!!!!!!!!
  13. Appreciate the offer but won't be in town until January 27th. I look forward in learning from you guys!
  14. Here what I was thinking- 1) Medium action spinning rod with 14# flourocarbon with 7" culprit Lizard for bedding bass 2) Medium heavy 7' rod with rigged with Power Pro and a SPRO frog 3) Medium heavy 7' rod with Power Pro with a lipless crank bait 4) Medium Heavy 7' rod with 14# Stren and a 3/16 weight and brush hog Alot will depend on water temp and whether or not bass will be bedding. Running the frog is my favorite thing to do. I have hard time putting that away. i live in Indiana what about you ZBass?
  15. One thing I am concerned with is what tackle to bring. I want to throw something consistant to what the pro is throwing. Do I need to bring a little bit of everything? Spinner, crank, worms, frogs/topwater? If you were in this tournament and you were bringing 4 rods what tackle would you rig them with? Thanks!
