Did Bill Norman go out of biz. Tryed there site in the spring and it's still down. Garnet
  2. If 30 -7 is normal then buying a new fishing stick at any price will not help. If you are normally equal fishermen every dog has a day! For me it's not price after checking all Shimano's the Clarus and the Compre had the action that I like. The Clarus won because they have a little softer tip and lots punch in the middle. Garnet
  3. It was a tough sell 7 anglers fish 1 local 1 regional and 1 way south tournament as a team, with most of the cost right out of the family buget. And then theres a full year commitment from all 7 familys. From the guys interested we have 1 that split with wife and 1 with major health problems. Thats why my club never had a team. Think maybe Don missed the grassroot part. Garnet
  4. Turned my Minn Kota 35 head and installed on a 14 ft Princecraft 30 years ago and never looked back. Just for the old guys remember the white props on the Minn Kotas, I'd buy 3-4 at a time they broke so easy. Garnet
  5. I would stick to my game plan until the fish say! If the lake is normally clear and has really got a lot of mud I would look for clear water small creek thats cleared go to the opposite shore from wind. Garnet
  6. Tournaments move fish around I'd work the area near the release site looking for key areads. Garnet
  7. This switch is a splitter 1 transducer and both your unit go to it you just flip. Check Eagle web page. Garnet
  8. If your fishfinder is Lowrance they have a switch for transducer 1 and 2, look at the color of your plugs and see if they are available. Garnet
  9. I have the Max. and fished in buddy's boat with the Endure and it was a guttless wonder on 5 it blow weeds off the prop on 4 would just quit. Garnet
  10. EFI's run right to the gas station. About 40% more to operate. Garnet
  11. A little more compact is the 12 volt batterys for emergency lighting or pick up a battery for Acu View about $25 at BPS same thing. Then get a power point with clips to charge. Using D's will cost. Garnet
  12. I have tha rapala it works good. Garnet
  13. If you price parts for MK against the MG you will find the MG parts very pricey as much as 300%. Garnet
  14. Boy does that boat bring back memorys, sorry to say bad back memorys. Stratos had the same boat and it will crush the rest of your back. Just drive slow and have fun. They were terrible for waves splashing over them when you shut down. Once the boat sits on the water start adding throttle to beat the back wash. Garnet
  15. All the other things that might leak would just sitting at a dock, livewell hose, over flow for livewell, bilge ect. So tester out again, that water will run up on the back deck I've even drowned myself. Garnet
  16. When I pitch at the point the bait touches the water my rod is at the 10 or 11 o'clock position. That keeps me from over reacting to instint bites then I follow my bait down on loose line and start pulling line if nessary. Thats a good clue on water depth. Garnet
  17. I've been fishing out of a 201 Stratos with the sunken foot petal and the ergo between the foot petal and the pro pole is a joke. Maaybe if you were 6-10 it might work. Garnet
  18. Take your prop off and pull 1 of the bolts. If it's wet the motor is done. Garnet
  19. Get the HPDI the gas and fuel is 50% better. Garnet
  20. Get a multi meter and set it so you read 13.25 aprox strait off the battery then plug your charger in and you should get around 14 volts if not the charger junk. You can buy a muliti meter for $5. Garnet
  21. I wieght a 6.56 smallie in a tournament (Lake Simcoe) and caught one that was it the 7.5 area. Garnet
  22. Normally if you are gutt hooking fish it's a school fish situation and a change in bait will catch just a many fish. I allways carry offset side cutters and cut as much hook out as possible, and on larger fish remove the hook thur the method above. Garnet
  23. A high speed reel is great for pitching. True flipping can be done with 20 ft of line and no reel. Garnet
  24. Be on time and just fish the very same as any other day. Nothing has changed with the fish so if your trolling motor would be on 20% at home it's the same today. Garnet
