How have you progressed this year?
This year was the most I've been fishing and the most serious I've been about it. I think I'm most happy about my improvement with spinnerbaits. Before this year, I could probably count the number of spinnerbait fish I've caught with one hand... Now they are one of my favorite lures to use.

Revo S problem?
Hey all, so I am having some probs with the Revo S baitcaster I just recently purchased. My terminology is lacking, so bear with me.. The "casting button" doesn't 'click' definitively so it doesn't release the spool most of the times when I try to cast. The button will move down, but not 'click'. Sometimes, if I push the button down hard enough, the spool will be released (still without the click though), but when I reel, no line is picked up. The little line guide on the reel will move back and forth like in normally does when you reel, but nothing comes in. I have never done repair so I am at a loss. Does anyone know if Cabelas will do reel repair? I didn't buy the reel form there... Thanks guys.

Jon boat review
I am very interested in this topic as I am looking to get a job before spring of next year. Something at least 14' that I can stand up in and will last a long time.

Working a pop-r.
Hey guys. When you guys work pop-rs, do you make it just a little tiny pop, or does it have that deep sounding glub glub glub sound. Just wanted to know what type of retrieves are effective for you guys.

No longer shorebound....
Took it out. It was my first time in a kayak so it took some getting used to and I still need to practice, but man it felt good to just be free. I only stayed about an hour, caught a dink on a pop-r. I'll figure out ways to make it more of a fishing machine. I've seen rigs with milk crates and such.

No longer shorebound....
...YAY. I got a Loon 120 Kayak of CL and am in the process of hooking up the rack and stuff right now. After obsessing about it for the past few weeks I am no longer shorebound...It's not a Ranger, but I'm gonna be out on the water. I'll try it out later today.

Cartopping a jon boat? What is needed?
I hvae a Toyota Highlander that comes with a stock roof rack. I plan on getting a 10 or 12' jon and was wondering what I would need to be able to cartop a boat like this, and is it doable with one person? Thanks.

How does cool weather streak/rain affect fish?
So in WA state we've had a few days of steady rain and cooler weather, about 15 degrees cooler then what it had been earlier. Just wondering what effect this weather might have on the fish, and also, what is the immediate effect of rain and cloudy weather on fish? Like does it drive them shallow, off cover, too cover, etc. I'm planning on fishing tomorrow. Thanks.

Trolling motor on canoe?
Is it possible to mount a trolling motor on a canoe without a flat end, like a canoe in the picture? How would you do it? Thanks

Kayak fisherman? Questions?
Hey all, I'm looking at buying a Malibu Pro Explorer http://www.malibukayaks.com/kayak_explorer.asp and had some questions. First, the boat is used and was used in salt water. Does this make any difference to me? Should I wash it or anything? I'm sure this will be a step up from my inflatable boat in this area, but how "spinnable" is a kayak. In other words, in wind, will I be spinning helplessly around and around? Any thing else I should know about the plusses and minuses of kayak fishing? Thank you.

Checking out this boat tomorrow, advice?
http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/boa/787249723.html First off, is this a pretty good deal? This will be my first boat and I don't know whats going on...lol. What type of hull is that? Should that shape be pretty stable enough for standing up in while fishing? What should I look for in the boat when I check it out? Thanks for all the help on all of my annoying questions.

Budget jig/worm rod and reel combo?
Hey all, I tried a search on jig/worm rods but all the recommendations were a bit pricey for me. I'm looking for a decent jigging/worm baitcasting combo in the 150/200 dollar range. Any suggestions? Thanks

You can only bring three rods, what do you bring?
Don't have to get into specifics, but just general, ie. light spinning outfit for finesse, etc. Trying to achieve a versatile bare bones style.
