On Bass Zone radio they were talking about a seniors tournament for 50+ year olds. Experience is so important in fishing that IMO 50 is d**n close to peak performance age. With Rick doing well in his 60s -- like many others -- I don't see the need for a seniors tour. Anyway, fishfordollars comment about Rick's impressie stats at 62 made me think of that.

Liability Insurance???
I have never heard of a law like that but it does not surprise me. I know some crowded lakes require an "event permit" to use a public launch for even small tournaments. It would not surprise me if part of the event permit process is to provide proof of liability insurance. The TBF and Fed Nation have to be the best ways to get liability insurance for a club. Plus, you get many other benefits than just the insurance policy.

Rapala Original Floating Minnow Customization - IMPORTANT
BIG M- That is a great idea. I know people who still fish the old boy howdys without the propellers. What kind of weight to you put on the tail?

Rapala Original Floating Minnow Customization - IMPORTANT
In this month's Bassmaster Magazine , Bernie Shultz discusses a "cult like" following of people who modify the Rapala Original Floating Minnow. The Floating Minnow has always been my favorite lure. I would love to learn how to modify them so they suspend, slowly sink, and zig zag more erratically in the case of the f11 and f13. Does anyone know anyone who is zealous about modifying these baits? I need to find a mentor to teach me...

He makes sense to me. Maybe I am weird too. To understand the owl you must study the mouse!

Multi-Fish Type tournament Rules, need your opinions
My club has a "trash fish" rule that allows for props for species other than black bass. A complication over the years has been that stripe don't do well in livewells. We came up with a "digital photo" option for the stripe...But even that has it's issues because getting everyone to follow the rule correctly is a problem. I like Jepu's idea. Assign points for each specie.

the popularity of bass resource
Glenn is right. If BassResource chose to put that code at the top of every page their rankings would skyrocket. It is a testament to the growth of the site that they don't have to worry about where they are ranked on that list anymore. That listing was relevant 10 years ago--. By the way... Is this bassresource's 10th year?

World records live VS. artificial????
There is nothing that says the IGFA has a monopoly on recognizing record fish. I think it is fine for BASS, Bass Resource, or any other organization to have their own records. My fishing clubs tracks records and for all bass we use artificial only. For saltwater fish we separate the categories into "all tackle", "artificial only", and "fly rod".

Max 150 H.P. Circuit
Per David Hagood at ABA, both teamates will have their entry fees paid for the 2011 BWS season. The trail seems like a good deal to me.

A question for non-boater tourney anglers.
Draw tournaments are such a downer for me because it literally is luck of the draw as to how considerate your boater is. This is a major reason why I don't tournament fish more than I do. My thoughts are these: If you are fishing a tournament that is co-angler against co-angler, then you should take 4-6 rods max and try to limit your tackle as much as possible. One bag to leave on deck and food, rain gear, etc... should stow in one compartment. It is rude for the boater not to leave you at least one compartment to store your gear. I have fished with many many rude boaters who have way too much crap in their boat--and yes, this includes friends of mine. If you are fishing in draw tournaments where you are fishing against the guy in the front of the boat--as the Alabama Federation Nation tournaments are--then it is rude for the boater to have 18 rods and 300 lbs of tackle and then expect you to not be prepared. In this case the boater should allow you to stow some rods in a front rod box too. Which, I have had guys leave me more storage than they take themselves, which is extremely cool. But in some cases when the boater is being an inconsiderate ., you just have to take the usual 4-6 rods and that is the way it is.

I didn't realize ABA had a magazine. Is it good? I am really excited to see this format. It is a great concept IMO.

BASS says that a really low number of women were registering. Has anyone found out HOW short they were? What was a full field? How many boaters had registered?
