Are they any harder to maintain that other reels? I clean and oil my Shimanos and just want a little insight on these reels. Thanks

I shouldn't say old old but they are not the newer models. I have 4 of the original one with the round pearl or white plastic handles. That is whay I consider old

I have some old Abu reels that my brother in law gave me and I was wondering how easy it is to get parts and what parts can be interchanged? I mean like gears and such. He passed away and these are some of the older round reels. I kinda likem and would like to make sure they are all in great working condition. Thankd

Got one that looks to be in good condition. Was hoping someone could shed some light as to wether it is a good reel or not and are any parts available for them anywhere? It is a 5:3 to 1 ratio and being new to bass fishing what would you or could you use it for?

Have a Browning Midas that is about 1 year old and noticed it making some noise when cast. I want to know where to find a maintenamce /schematic to see what I missed. Not real godd at this so I hope this is the right place and can get some help. Thanks

Guy offered me a Skeeter Wrangler for free. Problem is the transom is bowing out. He bought the boat for the motor which is a 200 hp but the boat was only rated for a 150. Could this be the problem? Is this a fairly easy fix if you wanted a project boat? Need some advise. Want a boat but just don't have the money to out and spend 10 to $15,000.

I happened to see it on the Bill Dance show this weekend and he said he was testing it for Stren. It is sippose to be a smoother braid than most of the other with less noise coming thru the eyes.

Really don't think it needs any right now but just in case. Mainly would like to know how to identify the round ones. Like I said he gave me several.

The club I belong to will have a club tourney next month on the Ohio river and I have never fished the river with artifical baits. I have no clue as what to do. Can anyone give me some ideas?
