Are they any harder to maintain that other reels? I clean and oil my Shimanos and just want a little insight on these reels. Thanks

Ryobi stopped making reels (thank goodness) in the mid 90's, no parts available any longer that I know of...

No, they aren 't harder to maintain than other reels, but you gotta be careful when you dissasemble them, like RM mentioned, there are no spare parts available no more. Reason why this baby fishes no more:

The only time I threw a reel in the lake was that vmag never lasted more than a day.

Had a couple spinning reels that were ok. Drag on reel handle.
