New Reel?

Featured Replies

I am going to buy a new reel and don't know what to get. I am considering three reels. The Lews BB2 pro and inshore. The only reason to get the inshore would be for a 2 day trip I take down to Florida for redfish. Except for that I'm all freshwater and wonder if I should just get the pro because of the better casting system. I am also considering the new tournament pro g, but want the extra line for pike and big swim baits? Any thoughts on what one to get?

I wouldn't get an inshore reel just to fish a 2 day trip.  A quick rinse/wipe and you're gonna be fine with the other.  And then a couple drops of oil on the bearings after....good as new.

The Pro G2 will do all. It's a compact reel by comparison to the others two. Lighter weight makes a difference as well.

I'd get the inshore reel, after fighting a few reds you may want to go back again.
