I recently purchased a 2002 Ranger 520VX which has a ton of storage compared to my formerly owned '86 17.5' ProCraft Fish n Ski.  I used to just take the seats out of the Procraft to add some more floor space for rods/tackle/cooler for weekend trips/tournaments as well as give my partner some space for his gear.  I will be parking this Ranger on the same concrete pad next to my garage so I will still have the hassle of unloading rods/tackle from the boat prior to putting the cover on.  I do this to prevent any unwanted wear/tear to my investments from temperature/climate while it's parked.  I would love to have (besides a garage for the boat) Plano 3700's for most tackle and some soft plastic bags which can be easily carried to/from the boat and into its proper spot in the garage between trips/tournaments.  

 

Does anyone have the same situation?  If so, what tackle bags/storage systems/compartments do you use or recommend from your experience?

I have 2 of those BASS Pro tote bags that carry Planos. No zipper or anything, just handles. My boat is always garage kept, but this helps me keep everything organized. I have all the Planos labeled, so it's quick an easy access. That's the best solution I have come up with to quickly remove tackle, but also have quick an easy access to my baits during a tournament

 

 

That's pretty much what I had in mind but couldn't find what I was looking for... I was about to ask the wife if she had anything like that haha...  Thanks!  What about all of your soft plastics...  I have 2 of the large BPS binders, but those got full and so I now have 2 other bags to stuff plastics in which is a total of 4...  Thoughts on plastics??

I just pack the boat with the plastics I know I'll fish. But some are stored in the planos on that carrier. Going into a tourney, I have an idea what plastics I'm going to use, so I won't have thousands of plastics throughout my boat

Pay particular attention to the way the rear compartment is organized...in a carry bag.

Rangers have a lot of storage.  When you've got a Ranger you can carry most of the tackle store - isn't that one of the arguments for having a Ranger, i.e. plenty of storage.  If you're moving stuff in and out, just have a few big totes so that you don't have to make so many trips.   Be a pal and leave the back bin behind the passenger seat open so that your co-angler has some below deck storage.
