I am doing a rod building class at my church and I was wondering what I should do since its my first build. I want a really nice rod for under a hundred bucks maybe a little over a hundred. I want a split grip, micro guides, and a reel seat they put on carrot stix....I also want a decent blank because its a jig/ big worm rod. I looked at MHX blanks on mudhole but don't know how good they are......All input is GREATLY  appreciated ;):D :D

    The mudhole blanks are very good for the $.  A couple of other good blanks for your buck would be Castaway and the Batson Rainshadow line.  Good luck on your build!
