Cheapest Place to buy Createx Paint?

Featured Replies

Where is the best place to get Createx paint? I wanna get some clear coat too, what do I need?

Michael's Crafts, Ben Franklin's, AC Moore and Hobby Lobby are some places I know.

You can also get the clear that I use at any of these, which is Enviro-tex Lite.

Hope this helps.

Ok thanks I am gonna have to order it online. Actually I think we have a Micheal's around here somewhere I'll try that too.

THanks

You may try Dick Blick art supplies on line. They will have the paint, but maybe not the clear.

If you have a Michaels craft store close by you could go online and get a 40% off coupon good for the entire purchase of artist paints. Createx paints are included as artist paints. I was in there yesterday and got some.

If you miss this sale just check back because they have sales frequently.

Try Bear Air, I get my airbrushes and paints from them. The prices are right and they carry Createx, I use it for T-shirt painting.

Will do, thanks. I just saw that coastair.com sells paint in sets. So that will be nice and you save some $$ by buying them in a set  8-)

I just bought some at Michaels today, then went to a hobby store who sold the bottles for $0.60 a bottle cheaper. Neither place had much of a selection of colors. both places 50 miles away, only place I have seen the createx "close" to me.

how do you use the transparent and opaque colors when you want that particular color?  some of the colors I wanted were only in transparent.

what do you mean?

Steve, how ya been? Most of my paints are transparent. the only opaque colors I have are red, white, black and yellow. The transparents are great to slowly get the shade you want without being to stark, plus you can layer 2 or more colors to get  new colors.

To get the transparent color to look opaque lay down some white first then shoot your trans over that. It will take several coats to reach the true color.

Thanks Buzzcatcher.  I've been good.  I only painted a few crankbaits, but I thought I would try airbrushing my spinnerbaits, I have been using powder paint like I do for my jigs, but it is hard to get an even and not too thick coat of powder paint on the spinnerbaits, and thought I could get some different looks.

I did catch smallies on the cranks you painted for me  ;)  way to go!!
