Starting Out

Featured Replies

I'm new to the whole lure making process, but I'm a bit of a handyman so I'm confident in my abilities to learn quickly. I just need a friendly nudge in the right direction.

I'm looking into making plastic worms. I love fishing largemouth and I'm a bit of a finesse fisherman, but I'd love to dabble in it all.

Anyone know where to find a good tutorial and an inexpensive place to purchase a melting pot, molds, plastics, colors, and so forth?

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Bears Baits sells everything you'll need to get started, including starter kits. He also has a helpful customer support forum  ;)
