  1. Steve is a great guy. These are custom baits and made in the USA. There is no profit once you put a pencil to it. Help the little guys too.
  2. Great job! Bout time we see a lizard that looks close to a real lizard!
  3. As a former Taxidermist of over 10 yrs, if I were to have one done it would be done by Lake Fork Taxidermy or Ron Kelley. Just make sure whichever ones you interview, make sure you see several examples of their work. Good Luck!
  4. We have separate accounts and we buy what we want.
  5. Hey, no problem. I'll check out the Diawa also. Got the Curado new off Ebay for $138, so the price was nice. Thanks for the info I can always use more reels
  6. Okay guys, thanks for all the valuable feedback. Ended up going with the Curado e7. Will follow up with a report as soon as I get to fish it.
  7. very nice!!! how much are they?
  8. I have never owned anything other than Abu and Quantum, so I wasn't familiar with BPS and Shimano. I have not gone to the store to actually handle them yet, but plan on it soon since I just got the money today. Thought I would do some homework and get some first-hand info from owners first. Thanks for the input so far!
  9. to Revo S, Revo SX, Curado 200E or Johnny Morris Signature. Basically I fish mostly soft plastics, but since I may use it for spinnerbaits or crankbaits rarely. Want something smooth and will last a long time. (I haven't bought a bass reel since early 90's and still have them, the Quantum Tour Ed. US600s) Best place to buy also? Thanks!
  10. injected or hand pour? Who makes that mold? Thanks, those are really nice looking worms.
  11. Probably that way because they are painted. Yes, you can spray scent on them.
  12. Looks like it may be culprit. I could probably make you that color/combo (core shot) in a 7.5 Utail if you need some. Let me know and we can talk further.
  13. Cannot answer your question about weight, but can weigh one of mine and a senko and tell you tomorrow evening. I make a similiar bait and will send you some free to try if you want. PM me your address.
  14. I think it is great to try different baits even though you think they are just "knock offs". Like me, I make sticks and have sold a lot of them. I know us small guys are willing to offer custom colors, etc for you. We can also provide customer service, etc. that you may not always get with the big boys. Just because they are a "knock off", give them a try. Seems like a lot of guys like to buy a name over the product itself. There are some "knock offs" that produce just as well.
  15. You are absoulutely right they will take a plain hook because the last time I was up at Buchanan that happened. I pulled the line up by hand and noticed my minnow was gone, so I dropped the bare hook back down to grab a minnow and my line took off. Maybe I should just sell hooks then. LOL
  16. I added these to my collection of baits I'm making and wanted to get some crappie fisherman opinions. They are 1.75" long and have a lot of tail action. Let me know what you think. I have a lot of other colors I am going to make, but these are for starters. What colors work well for you? Thanks for your feedback!
  17. I have to agree with you on that one. I finally gave up and went to hand injected baits. Just pop them out and they are good to go. If they are for your personal use, I doubt the fish will take the time to critique it
  18. +1 on Bears Baits and there are videos on his forum
  19. I have had great success fishing flooded timber with tx rigged craws with the weight pegged, something with orange or chart claws. Then on flooded grassy areas I have had great success with a buzzbait. Hope that helps a little.
  20. WOW, thank you! I'm in on this one!!!
  21. Norman Front Runner http://store.tackleandrods.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=FLT&Category_Code=FRTR
  22. Front runners are the name. A while back there were some on the web somewhere for sale. I still have 3, but they work so d**n good on white bass, it would take a lot to buy them. You can use a maribou jig to do the same thing. Do a web search, I'm sure you can find some.
  23. I'm even in worse shape - I bought all the stuff to start pouring my own plastics, so I am going to be covered up in baits!
  24. I bought some coffee tubes and caught fish the very first outing. I am starting to pour my own and will try some with with coffee myself and see.
