Couple Of New Baits
these are easier for storing than the fibetts were. i still do the fibetts if someone wants those however. the color of fibetts that i used the most was changed by the manufacturer so i am having to dye them myself which is a pain.

Couple Of New Baits

Baits In Display Case
made this case for displaying some baits. it has a plexiglass top that sets over the baits and presses them into the foam to keep them in place. with the lid off i stick straight pins under the bait to keep them positioned when the case is stood up and they can be easily picked up for inspecting. some of the baits have a satin finish instead of the gloss finish and a couple have the translucent fins made of colored resin .

pvc cranks ?? where to get the pvc?
how smooth does it need to be to paint? i never use anything finer than 120 grit to sand with. i prime it, light sanding and paint. yeh, the dust will drive you nuts! i hand carve everything to avoid the dust as much as possible.

pvc cranks ?? where to get the pvc?
pvc is waterproof so no need to seal it. you'll have to primer it before painting. it will hold screw eyes well. drill a pilot hole first, thread the screw eye in, remove it, use a pin to put in some 5 min. epoxy and thread the screw eye back in. here are some i finished a few weeks ago. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1298330721

pvc cranks ?? where to get the pvc?
carves easily with a sharp utility blade. i think you'll have problems with melting if you try a rotary tool.
