Anyone tried the Major Craft Nanoace rods yet?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I was hoping that I can get some feedback on certain models of these rods.  I'm interested in the 7'5 medium heavy crankbait rod and the 7'3 medium heavy extra fast frog rod.  I'll mainly use the crankbait model for fishing squarebills and medium divers, while the 7'3 model for fishing 1/4 - 1/2 oz jigs.  What are you guys thoughts on these rods?  Thanks in advance.

I hope you get a response, but my suspicion is that anyone using a Major Craft rod are getting JDM versions.

I've read tackletour's review of the rod, but its not the model i was looking for.  I tried googling more info about the rod, but there's not much out there.  I do have a few of their JDM rods, but I just wanted to see other people's input on these particular models.

Keep in mind that TT reviewed the rod and stated that all the rods fish lighter than their ratings. So the 7-3 rod you're looking at will likely fit the lure weights you listed very nicely. All the MC rods I own are JDM models, but I have handled a couple of the Nanoace spinning rods. While they are nice, I would personally wait til the Corzza is introduced here(a current JDM rod series that will be released here soon). They have cork grips and much nicer guides. They also have that typical JDM beauty and style that the Nanoace lacks.
