Lake Anna, VA

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a home near Hunter's Landing, Lake Anna, VA.  I plan to be out on the water this spring and summer.  I am looking for a fishing partner that knows the lake, and possibly some of the local bass clubs.  I am very interested in joining a club.  I have a bass boat, and a boat launch across the street from my house.  If anyone is interested in going fishing, maybe showing me around and possibly entering a few tourneys, please feel free to reach out to me.  I am usually out at the lake during the weekends with plans on living out there full time this coming summer.  I hope to hear from you soon.  Thanks...

Troy, there is a Lake Anna tournament each week so look them up at the various marinas for information.

We have a number of guys who fish One Fish Anna. Hopefully they will see your post and get back with you.

Are you gong to the Richmond Fishing Expo this weekend at the Meadow by Kings Dominion? If so, you can meet the One Fish Anna guides and others with businesses on the lake and ask them for information on tournaments, guides and guys who would like to fish with you.

Good luck.

Troy, are you going to the Richmond Fishing Expo?

If so, check out Sturgeon Creek Marina's booth. They have flyers on the Lake Anna tournaments.

You can also talk to the guys about One Fish Anna.

If you cannot attend the event you can PM me your email address and I can scan and email copies of the flyers to you.

I hope you enjoy that lake as much as I do, check out Anna Point Marina and High Point Marina as well, all the peeps at these marinas are very helpful folk and if you get the time, take a look into their guides at all 3 marinas, you want to know the lake and where to find the bass, all 3 marinas provide some truly great guide services.

Good luck and be safe !!!

Definitely a large population of bass there but they get NO REST. Not even in the winter.

As stated there are tournaments at least every Friday and Sunday run out of the marina's once spring starts going. All through spring there will be tournaments every single weekend, a lot of opens. Check out Fish Tales or Sturgeon Creek Marina's website for tournament listings. You'll be in a lot better shape than most without being right on the lake, easy to fish morning and evenings. Fishing there during the day is almost impossible during the summer. Let me know once you get settled in and we can go out some evening and i'll show you around.
