I am trying some of these and at the same time trying some of the tips I read here and see on YouTube. So I ordered these VMC hooks the other day. They showed up today and I installed them on a few of my more used baits. My first time using VMC Barbarian hooks but they are extremely nice looking to me. 

They are good hooks but it looks like you ordered just one size in each finish. I see a few baits where those hooks can possibly foul because you upsized the hook but the shank is the normal type and not a short shank which I don't believe there is a Barbarian short shank.

No I have 2s' 4s' and 6s in each. I planned to try the larger hook but if they act up Ill drop back a size till they act right. Trial n error deal.  I keep snap ring pliers and the other hooks in my bag.  

Put on the biggest hooks you can get away with.

i have to get some more of these for my jerkbaits and smaller cranks
