Anyone know some good spots in Monmouth county near long branch. Just getting into bass fishing

Check out the Northeast Bass Fishing section. Bound to be some info over there.

Assunpink and Manasquan  are two of the best in NJ for quality largemouth.  Turkey Swamp is a real good one too.

Been out of NJ for 12 years but...

Look into Shark River Park (lake) in Wall Twp. Been years since I've fished there but they were in there. Lake Como just south of Belmar is supposed to have some check on this first. Have you tried the upper part of Deal Lake?

amazon has used copies of this book cheap worth a try  http://www.amazon.com/Fishing-New-Jersey-Freshwater-Anglers/dp/1580801404/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455036566&sr=8-1&keywords=freshwater+fishing+in+new+jersey

Fish Devil hit a couple good ones.  There are three lakes in the Assunpink set (Assunpink, Stone Tavern and Rising Sun).  Manasquan is a good lake if you have a boat (trolling motors only) and want a chance at many different kinds of fish.  They have white bass, smallmouth (only place in the area), largemouth as well as muskies, pickerel, perch, bluegill and crappie. Be careful with the wind out there, though.  There are also a couple other lakes around the Lakewood area just south of Manasquan.  Don't know much about the northern section of the county.
