I hope everyone is having a great start to 2016 i myself was given the blessing to get my first boat. The down side im looking for a $3000 rig and cant go any higher. i was wondering if anyone had some suggestions or knows somebody or a place i should look. currently i have looked on Craigslist and "Budget Boats" a local business. im not the brightest crayon in the box when it comes to motors so im a little sketched out with craigslist any help would be great!

If it were me, I'd drop my $3k on a Hobie Pro Angler....

Another site to check is bass jons, you can google them. They are based in hampton roads. They are a 9.9HP or under bass club so there's a good chance you could find a solid Jon boat converted to bass boat on that site

My advice would be if you find a seller that is serious they shouldn't have any problem with you having a local mechanic give it a quick run down.
