Custom Lure Painting Question

Featured Replies

I'm pretty new here and I see some very nice paint jobs on crankbaits. Any of you guys paint baits for other people.

I think most of them sell there baits. Just P.M. Someone if you like there baits. I just ordered some from fishwhitler (not sure if I spelled that correctly)

Not sure how much can be said without getting in trouble?

I have to get my post count up before I can PM. I've tried my hand on painting but I just don't have the knack like some here have. I have a couple of balsa baits that need painting and was just wondering if it was available.

Give painting another try. Not everyone here was really good at it when they first started, well maybe Big M and Dwain were, but give the painting thing another shot, you never know....

Thanks Jbass but I'm still not on the level with Dwain, CCP, CrankinCracker, or Fishwhittler.

There are several custom painting shops.  One of the best is Tim Hughes (http://www.hughescustombaits.com/).  It isn't necessarily cheap but Hughes will do it very professionally.  Send one in, you get it back looking like a factory finish, in any pattern you choose or designate.

Bobp i wanted to check out that link but it doesn't seem to be working. maybe a spelling error?

Google Hughe's Custom Baits and it will pop up. His prices aren't too bad compared to others.

Don't see why the url didn't work.  This one seems to be OK on my computer.  I copied/pasted both url's from the website.  ??
