How to repaint spinnerbaits?

Featured Replies

Hey everybody im starting from the bottom of tackle making and just right now trying to repair the massive group of spinnerbaits i have. What is the best way to go about fixing the paint on the heads? i was thinking powder paint but it seems somewhat difficult for a beginner. Is there anyother options that are simpler?

Use enamal spray paint in the can and after it drys I put on a coat of epoxy, or flex coat rod finish. I don't buy into the idea of spinnerbait head detail..I dont't think it makes that much difference.

would regular acrylic paint for like model cars work?

If it works with your top varnish/epoxy.

I myself use only powder paints for spinners etc (leadheads) and if you try little bit you can use (carefully) butane torches to heating paint.
