Giant Tubes? Canyon Plastics 7"

Featured Replies

I tried fishing but it was too darn cold, so I spent the rainy afternoon surfing ***.com and I came acrossed these:

I think they look great. Check out the Rainbow Trout color. (looks like baby bass to me ;)) I messured the tube's length in the picture and its exactly 7 inches, so that picture gives you their acual size.

I've done well with 4" tubes and with the "bigger bait bigger fish" thoery in mind I dont see why these wouldn't work well also. I bet if you fished them T-rigged weightless they would really produce.

I'm going to order some ASAP. Any idea what size hook to use?

Anyone else ever fished this bait? Whats everyone's thoughts on this?

Ish Monroe won an Elite tournament by pitchin' those to bedded fish a couple of years ago at Amistad.....it looked like a freakin' squid in the water.

Lately I've been hearing that alot of people are beginning to use the Tiger Tube by Lindy. I'm not sure what type of hook to use but if you check out the Tiger Tube they use a 6/0 in both the 6 and 8 inch with a treble hook as trailer. 3/0 to the 8 and 2/0 for the 6. If you go to BPS's website they sell them and you can see a picture of how they come rigged.
