So I just bought a Daiwa Laguna 100hsa, and was wondering if there are any parts I should upgrade, (mainly wondering if I can buy a aluminum replacement frame).

On a side note, what is a good inexpensive rod for the laguna for a all purpose setup?

The frame is the base of he whole reel. If you want s metal frame wheel you need to factor that in your purchase. Even if available it wouldn't be cost effective. Flush the bearings and consider a Carbontex drag and maybe super tuning. 

Purchased this reel mainly because of availability locally (didn't want to deal with online shopping), so that said, I didn't have much to choose from. lol

They aren't a terrible reel. The same holds true for most reels. my recommendations will help you get the most from it without pouring money down the drain.

Berkley e-motion you can find on jet.com for around $55 after 15% first time user discount.  It would match the reel nicely.  Just an idea.

I traded away the laguna, but I think this would be a good rod for a Lews SS I bought, thanks for the advice! (I didnt notice it until now :I)

 

Also, I like how our PB is very similar on our profiles haha

Not the top of the line rod, but for $55 I don't think you can do any better.  Lews LFS??  Yes, it would be a perfect match.
