i am getting ready to install one of these in my boat. I am wondering what brands and styles folks on here who have done it recommend.  I am looking at the comfort troll on tackle warehouse but i am not sure if i need the regular or shallow mount one. It is for a 84# MK fortrex. I like the color options available to get a white one to match boat. 

Just from looking at the pictures, it looks like the shallow version would be for the electric steer foot pads as those don't sit as tall.

I have a fortrex in 80 lb foot control and I installed the EZ-Troll recess tray last year on my bass boat and love it. It came with a out line of where to mark and cut everything. Didn't take that long at all! As far as it being plastic. It's a thicker material and I weigh 300 and it's work great!

Just be sure to triple check the area under the deck BEFORE cutting. Look for wires, supports, ect.

Yea. Im borrowing an inspection camera from work this weekend before i order one. Its the only way to access it without cutting in to it. 

Got it done yesrerday afternoon. Looks really good and feels good too. Wasnt too bad. Cut hole a touch small and just kept trimming out til i got a nice tight fit, with a touch of rubber hammer persuasion.  Only problem i have now with it is that the new white powdercoat makes the 23 year old gelcoat look dingy.
