How are my first jigs?

Featured Replies

Spent the morning tying my fist jigs. I think I'm already addicted, but I'm not sure if I'm headed in the right direction. I have never really used hair jigs either before. So if you think some would catch fish I'd love to know and if you don't I would like to know even more.

Looks like you got a good start. I bet they would catch fish!

They're all going to catch fish.

I'm guessing you come from a fly tying background - no one ties jigs that neatly or as well proportioned  right off the bat.

I have never even fly fished before let alone tied. I have youtube to thank for that I guess. Well thanks for the compliment!

For your first attempt at tying , they are very good. Keep them and look back at them in a year, and see how far you have come. They're much better than my first ties. :)

The jigs came out good!

Those are very, very good for your first try or even your hundredth try!  They look just as good or better as the hair jigs you can buy from experienced custom tiers like grizzly jigs.
