Fort Benning Bass

Featured Replies

Just moved here (Fort Benning, GA) in December and I'm looking for some decent water around these parts. I fish from the banks becuase, well let's be honest, I can't afford a boat lol. My initial plan was to join a bass club but do to my schedule I wouldn't be able to participate and help out as much as I'd like and it just wouldn't be fair to other members.

I have fished a few ponds here on post ( King Pond and Victory Pond with little luck. Anyone have any hints of some decent water, not asking for your holes but just so other areas. Thanks

you don't have access to the base by chance do you?  a former colleague of mine was retired air force and talked about some amazing fishing on fort benning.

Several good bank spots just down the road at lake eufaula too.

..Following.., i'll be on Benning from May till August for Master Gunner school.  I used to have some success on Twilight pond and Kings pond when I was stationed there in 04-06, but that was 10 years ago.

kings I've had no luck on and twilight has signs that say no fishing. Victory pond doesn't look too promising...looking like I need to stop slacking and get a john boat or something
