Hello Everyone,

Brand new to the forum, but looking for any info on places to fish in and around the Mechanicsville, VA area? Preferably from land as I do not own a kayak or boat. Thanks in advance for any help!

    I am sure Flyfisher will be along to share his knowledge as said earlier.  You might want to look up Echo Lake, it's kind of tough, but there are some healthy fish in there!

    Also, the James river once spring --> summer comes along.

    One more VA person on the Forums.  VA has to be near the top of where members are from on here.

    CS, go to Bass Pro Shops or Green Top and get the 2016 copy of Freshwater Fishing in Virginia booklet from Virginia Game and Inland Fisheries.

    Free publication that lists places you can fish in Hanover and other local areas.

    How about introducing yourself in the Introductions section.
