Battery box hook up

Featured Replies

So I have my battery and my box but have to hook it up.  So what I have is the normal T2 terminals on the battery and raw wires coming from the cord from the finder.  I want to have a fuse to protect the unit and I would like to seal up the battery permanetly....any suggestions are appreciated

what do you mean by "seal up the battery permanently"?

I am using a Ziploc box and I want to run a bead of chalk around the edge of the lid the help water proof it so I would not open this back up.  So I would have the battery have some type extensions coming off the terminals and run them through the side of the box through something like rubber stopper.  But I need to know what I can use to hook it up from the battery to the units wire but I also want to have it fused as well to protect the unit.

First things first I wouldn't seal the battery in a box permanently. That will only lead to headaches down the road, you want to have your batteries ventilated.    As for the fuse just install an inline fuse by splicing it in and connect the provided cables to the battery.

Okay that makes to vetilate it.  Thanks for that.  I am looking to add an inline fuse I just wasn't sure if there we're any other options.  Now what about the wire from the battery to the unit's cord or should I just run the units cord through the box

Why not just use a normal battery box?

There are all types of options for you. Since you mention your battery has the T2 terminals, can we assume you are talking about a 'sealed' power chair battery? Not sure why you would want/need to seal the battery box, but if you do, make sure to also install the battery charger leads first.
