Weighted hooks for stick baits

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of a weighted hook on a 3" stickbait, and does the weighted hook really impact the action of the lure (like when it is rigged weedless)?

I use weighted swimbait hooks on a rage craw all the time. I like the keel weight design and have several different weights of them. It controls the fall speed very nicely and rigged weedless I never have an issue.

When your dragging them across the thick stuff and find those little pockets without any cover it will sink right down in to them and............. BOOM!!! I get alot of strikes that way

Hayabusa little shaker wacky hooks.  Not weedless, doesn't skip great, but I love Hayabusa wacky hooks.

Man I was wondering how those hooks did. You really like them huh? Hmmmmmm

Im sure it will work fine.  But, I use 3" stick worms a lot, and have never seen a need to add any extra weight to it.
