I'm a college student at CofC this year and I'm trying to find some new spots for bass fishing. I don't own a car, but I have a moped to get around. I'm just looking for some easy spots to find bass and even what type of lures or bait to use. Also have no boat so its gonna be straight shore fishing. 

There is a big youth baseball complex that holds good ponds. Some of my friends have played down their and fished the ponds. If you can find out some big youth baseball complexs around Charleston look on google maps/earth and there should be good ponds around there. (Charlstons Minor Leauge team Riverdogs isn't near good ponds, don't get confused)

Was stationed there, back in 03-06. Not that I ever got to fish it, but I used to live on N. Basilica Ave, which is at the North end of Goose Creek Reservoir. A decent little 20-30 min drive from the college, if I had to guess, but if I ever catch myself back in the lowcountry, I'm going straight to my old house, walking across the street, and throwing a line.

Fishin' Ethan can you be more specific. Like do you mean downtown or on any of the islands?

It was more outwards from downtown Charletson past the old part of town. Once you leave the main dowtown (if that is possible) the land becomes flater and more ponds pop up which you could fish. You will find more marsh but there is ponds with bass for a fact. Also I know some people that live in Folly Beach (area I'm talking about is before you cross the bridge to go the beach) and they have some good ponds and I have seen big bass pulled out of there. I assume you live in Northern Charleston and if you drive south you will find better bass fishing. Though I'm not sure about Mount Plesant for bass but if you can look south of Charleston for good bass fishing.w
